Clear platform boundaries

NODIF terms of use

These draft terms describe the intended NODIF app and provider platform relationship. They are not ready to take legal effect until the operator identity, governing law, liability limits, billing processor, refund policy, and consumer notices are completed and reviewed for each launch market.

1. The NODIF application

NODIF is software that imports compatible VPN subscriptions, measures available connection paths, and operates a device VPN tunnel. NODIF does not itself grant access to a provider’s network unless NODIF is also the named VPN provider for that subscription.

2. Your VPN provider

Your provider controls subscription eligibility, gateway availability, traffic policy, account renewal, support, and any provider-specific terms. Provider branding in NODIF is cryptographically controlled but does not make NODIF responsible for the provider’s service, content, pricing, or conduct.

3. License and acceptable use

Subject to these terms, NODIF grants a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app. You may not bypass security controls, extract credentials or signing keys, impersonate a provider, interfere with the service, abuse provider or telemetry endpoints, or use NODIF in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

4. Quality optimization

Route ranking is an adaptive estimate based on measurements available from the user’s network and subscription. Results vary by ISP, location, device, congestion, provider capacity, and internet conditions. NODIF cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, a minimum speed, or that the highest-ranked route remains best.

5. Provider plans

Provider branding and analytics require an approved tenant and paid plan. Plan entitlements, usage limits, role-scoped access keys, service levels, prices, taxes, billing cycle, suspension, cancellation, and refunds will be stated in an order form or provider agreement. Provider analytics never include a contractual right to individual-user records or prohibited traffic data.

6. Privacy and security

The NODIF privacy notice is part of these terms. You must not use provider branding, support links, announcements, or analytics to mislead users, collect secrets, bypass consent, or create an individual profile. NODIF may suspend a provider profile or token to protect users or platform integrity.

7. Updates and availability

NODIF may update the app, routing logic, supported protocols, security controls, and platform APIs. Material changes will be communicated through the app, site, provider portal, or an updated agreement. Security or abuse controls may be changed immediately when reasonably necessary.

8. Final legal information required

Before launch, these terms must name the contracting legal entity and address, governing law and venue, warranty disclaimer, statutory consumer rights, limitation of liability, payment processor, cancellation/refund rules, notice procedure, and a working support contact. Until then, the site and provider onboarding remain pre-release.
